원초적 질감의 미학.

본 프로젝트는 '제주 난축맛돈'에 담긴 클라이언트의 미식 철학과 식재료의 근원적 정체성을 공간에 담아내고자 기획되었습니다.

공간의 내외부 파사드 하단부 영역에 러프한 질감의 현무암을 과감하게 사용하여 제주라는 장소성을 은유적으로 표현하였습니다. 거친 석재 텍스처는 매끈한 우드 마감재와 대비를 이루며 공간의 깊이감을 더합니다. ‍

전체적으로 채도를 낮춘 그레이 톤의 베이스에, 동양적인 실루엣의 펜던트 조명을 리듬감 있게 배치하여 차분한 젠(Zen) 스타일의 무드를 조성하였습니다. 조명의 부드러운 확산광은 석재의 요철을 부드럽게 감싸며 고급스러운 다이닝 분위기를 연출합니다.

입구의 좁은 통로를 지나 마주하는 내부의 암석 정원 디테일은 내부의 집중도를 높여, 고객이 온전히 음식에 집중할 수 있는 프라이빗하고 정적인 공간감을 완성합니다.

외부의 낮은 돌담은 지나가는 행인의 시선은 적절히 차단하면서도, 내부에서는 답답하지 않은 개방감을 주도록 높이를 섬세하게 조절하였습니다.

Aesthetic of Primitive Texture.

This project aims to reinterpret the value of the premium ingredient, 'Jeju Nanchukmatdon,' and the client's pride in it, through the language of spatial design.

Rough-textured basalt was boldly applied to the lower sections of both the interior and exterior facades to metaphorically express the distinct 'placeness' of Jeju. The coarse texture of the stone creates a striking contrast with the smooth wood finishes, adding depth to the space.

A calm 'Zen' atmosphere is established by rhythmically arranging pendant lights with Oriental silhouettes against a backdrop of desaturated gray tones. The soft, diffused lighting gently embraces the uneven texture of the stonework, curating a luxurious dining ambience.

The interior rock garden, revealed after passing through the narrow entrance corridor, heightens immersion within the space. This detail completes a private and serene atmosphere, allowing customers to fully concentrate on their culinary experience.

Furthermore, the height of the exterior low stone wall was delicately adjusted to appropriately screen the gaze of passersby while maintaining a sense of openness from within, avoiding any feeling of confinement.
